[OS]Lord_JB / Lordi  Registered Member #214 Joined: Tue Jun 23 2009, 08:22AMPosts: 0 | Well, i can't say this has gone exactly as expected, so i guess you guys deserve an explanation as for why i've been conspicuously absent from R2 (and PSN in general for that matter) over the last few weeks... Being a young'un at 18 i'm currently now in my first year of uni at Nottingham. "A student, they must have plenty of free time on their hands what with all the partying and going out and all, so why wouldn't JB be online?" I hear you say... Well, i did bring my ps3 and a tv down with me, and i did bring along the old resistance 2 hoping to get a bit of gaming done in my spare time, but things haven't quite worked out. While my pc is connected to the university internetworky thing perfectly fine, all console gaming and the like is routed through a handful of ports on the firewall freeing up as much space for pc's and laptops. (for "studying...") A new internet security system was installed on the uni network over the summer, which appears to have blocked all access to these ports, and because it was installed by an outside company, the IT guys here cant touch it without voiding a huge warranty, and so my only advice was to "keep trying" and that "they're working on it, but at the moment there's nothing them or i can do." So basically, until either the connection gets sorted out here or I go back home at xmas, you wont be seeing me around online on PSN... Really sorry guys and girls, but that's the long and short of it. You'll be missed on the battlefield tho.. =) But hey, you're living the real life! And maybe, by the time you get back on, there might be Resistance 3 on the horizon! Anyway, good luck at Uni.
