PlayStation Network is currently experiencing network failure issues - ERROR CODE - 8001050f (Hardware failure). It has been reported that the problem persists mostly for users with an 'older style' PlayStation console (20GB, 40GB & 80GB versions). For those with a the new 'PlayStation slim', there have been no reported errors at this time.

Seems as though our poor little console is a little disorientated.... could this possibly be a case of internalclockitus?!

As you may well know if you play a PS3 ( and maybe the 360? ), there was a patch a few days ago that caused issues with online play. Now, I have just updated my STEAM as there is a PC patch for MW2 and low and behold, the game crashes back to desktop when I choose a game mode to play on multi-player..OMG..If you are having similar issues then let us know in the forums..Things go from bad to worse...

Firstly I would like to thank Activision for the whopping 24 hours of MW2 online gameplay they've given us before the huge server crash! Rumour has it that whilst online mode has been inaccessible since the 1.02 patch, it's not the patch that's the culprit. It would seem that Activision have underestimated the massive impact MW2 fanatics would have on their shiny new MW2 servers. So do not adjust your TV set, or PS3 connection settings for that matter, and hang in there until someone pulls out their server fixing hammer. Now is a good opportunity to actually play Campaign mode!
